SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it really is alarmed about the large number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The service issue designed for intervention experiences a high influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to empower the servicing of all shoppers and raise usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
